Sana Takeda

Sana Takeda is a Japanese artist who has worked on several American comics for Aspen, Image and Marvel. She is currently collaborating with Marjorie Liu on the fantasy series Monstress from Image Comics. Sana is also a TCAF 2017 poster artist, and her poster is at the top.  Website                  Image Comics







Aki Yanagi

Aki Yanagi is a Japanese expert on the culture of North American comic books. He is the editor and coordinator of the Japanese-language essay collection “American Comics Front Line,” about the growing popularity of North American Comics in Japan. He has also translated several English works into Japanese, most recently Joe Kelly and Ken Niimura’s I Kill Giants.








Gengoroh Tagame

Gengoroh Tagame is a Japanese manga artist who specializes in gay BDSM erotic manga, many of which depict graphic violence. The men he depicts are hypermasculine, and tend to be on the bearish side.

His recent work, My Brother’s Husband, was awarded an Excellence Award at the 19th Japan Media Arts Festival on November 27, 2015.
