Kobe City was profoundly traumatized by the Great Hanshin earthquake. The Hyogo Modern Senior Fashion Show began ten years after the earthquake and held its 11th show in 2015. Elderly people who have gone through hard times get to bask in the limelight once a year.

In Japanese, IKIGAI生き甲斐 essentially means “reason for being” or the thing that makes your life worthwhile, and we will catch a glimpse of how IKIGAI plays a role in the lives of remarkable Japanese people in these four documentaries.
