Okinawa Film Series: Program 3

 

The Okinawa Film Series celebrates the diverse and rich culture of Okinawa. The next program in this series are two feature films that take place in the beautiful southern islands of Okinawa. These two very different films will shed light on the diversity of the people and stories in the OKINAWA FILM series.

SONATINE ソナチネ

Murakawa, a hard-boiled, aggressive Yakuza gangster, is getting tired of his way of life. Prodded by his boss, he agrees to go to Okinawa to help out a gang struggling with a rival mob.
